Mule Deer in the Yard

Two Mule Deer have been visiting our backyard on and off for the past few days. They’ve done a nice job of eating my plants. They appear to enjoy the new growth on most of the plants while leaving the older leaves alone. First Flower for the Deer?

Skunk Cabbage Flower

Today was the day- first Skunk Cabbage flower of the year! This one is growing in the creek in our backyard.

Bones

My sons and their friends found these bones in the woods behind our house. What animal are they from? Since the skull is several inches long, we immediately figured it was from a large mammal.
