Cross Spider All Wet

With the weather changing, I’ve noticed a lot less Cross Spiders and their webs recently.  This large one was still around but unfortunately fell into my patio pond.  It was probably a female due to its size (males are smaller).

    Unfortunately, whether it could swim or not didn’t really matter at this point- it was already gone…

  Great pictures! I HATE spiders and those cross spiders really are everywhere. The picture where the spider is blending in really well at the tip of the rush reminds me to NEVER pick any wild plants. LOL
